Things that determine your treatment in Apex NC?

Pain levels.... if you're in more pain we will need to see you more frequently at the beginning to help with the pain, inflammation, and tissue damage. Think of taking medication. You are prescribed to take said medication for a certain dosage, times a day, for a specific date range. This principle applies to pain levels and treatment.

Duration... if this is an acute issue (more recent) then less duration is sometimes needed to return to normal. But tissue damage is another factor. Chronic issues have more to do with retraining the body to not be inflamed and dysfunctional. Normally more work at the end of the treatment. Think of going to a gym to lose 20-30 lbs. You can't go to the gym for a week or two or go randomly and expect results. Time and repetition are key to getting success for your body to heal and restore normal function.

Movement quality / posture.... if you don't hurt but you can move through a full normal range of motion, that's a problem. Your body will still move but compensate due to mobility problems, and cause other areas to work more.... that leads to more tissue damage and pain.

That is why we recommend a specific treatment plan (your number of visits and frequency) for you and what you present with. Our philosophy of how we structure your treatment is called our MSA approach. M is for mobility and myofascial release. Your chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue work, foam rolling, etc all help improve your joint mobility and tissue integrity. S is for Stretching. Once the mobility of the joint is warmed up, can you stretch through full ranges of motion and teach the brain not to tense up with end range. A is for activation. Once you worked hard to improve joint mobility and tissue length, can you now strengthen the area with the now NEW improved range.
